The feeling of wide open space is also characteristic of the expansive salon/pilothouse, which offers unmatched visibility and accessibility. Sliding doors on either side of the house give direct access to broad side decks. There is additional access aft of the main salon to the flybridge steps as well as from the owner's aft suite via a private entry to the cockpit. Optional features in the salon include  retractable flat screen plasma and a DVD/CD theatre system, which are also available in every cabin. The exterior of the Bruckmann 56 offers a pleasing harmony of traditional sheer line and classic aesthetics combined with an advanced glass composite hull that provides outstanding performance in virtually all speeds and conditions. In the words of the designer...
" The advantage of the broad chine flats in the Bruckmann 56 is quite notacible, they lift the hull easily and greatly lower the speed needed to attain planing. The Bruckmann 56 is on the plane at a little over 10 knots and in this case, powered by twin Caterpillar 660 turbo-diesels, she tops out at 28 knots. Moreover, the long skeg not only gives you the propeller and rudder protection, it also offers excellent tracking in any condition."

The Bruckmann 56 is the largest yacht to date to use the highly efficient broad chine flat hull form developed by Mark Ellis.
