The interior of the Bruckmann 56 is splendidly appointed and
is highlighted by precisely crafted joiner work, in this case featuring
unusual matched grain butternut wood paneling throughout. Solid Teak
and holly soles are standard. Alternate bulkhead, trim & sole
options are of course available. Steps lead below and forward to a
capacious pantry containing storage fridge / freezer, microwave & a
washer / dryer. Opposite is a comfortable guest or captain's cabin with
computer desk & upper & lower berths. Forward, the roomy guest
cabin features a queen size Island berth & an ensuite head &
shower that can also be accessed from the passageway.
Of course, the Bruckmann 56 featured here, is the realization
of one owner's ideas and is but one of ant number of manifestations
that can be created, depending on the individual needs and cruising
requirments. The feeling of wide open space is also characteristic of
the expansive salon/pilothouse, which offers unmatched visibility and
accessibility. Sliding doors on either side of the house give direct
access to broad side decks. There is additional access aft of the main
salon to the flybridge steps as well as from the owner's aft suite via
a private entry to the cockpit. Optional features in the salon
include retractable flat screen plasma and a DVD/CD theatre
system, which are also available in every cabin. The inviting galley-up
arrangement offers appetizing horizons as well as an electric cooktop,
dishwasher, double sinks, icemaker, day refrigerator and attractive
dining and seating areas.
The Bruckmann 56 is the largest yacht to date to use the
highly efficient broad chine flat hull form developed by Mark Ellis. Images (click for larger version)
